Potential Member FAQ

What if I’m not a CGT major?

No problem! PWDC is open to all undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and we encourage students from different fields to get involved. Having members from different majors and minors helps bring diversity to the club and allows everyone to learn from each other. All are welcome!

I have no experience with web development. Can I still join?

Of course! In fact, we encourage it. The purpose of PWDC is not only to strengthen our current skills and share new ideas, but also to teach inexperienced students about web development and get them interested in the field. Our various workshops and discussions will be especially useful in this regard. Approaching these issues for the first time can be intimidating, but don’t worry about the learning curve. PWDC is here to help you and provides an open and fun learning environment for all to enjoy.

Okay, so I think I want to join. What do I do next?

The next step is simple. There is a callout at the beginning of each semester. These dates and locations can be found under the Events tab. All you have to do is show up to one of them. There is no need to bring anything. Also, if you happen to hear about PWDC after the callout, don’t let that stop you from joining. Students are welcome to join the club at any time throughout the semester. Just check our Events page for a date that fits your schedule and stop on by. And feel free to bring friends!

For further questions, please send us an email under the Contacts tab and we will respond to you ASAP.
